The lovingly restored and renovated industrial style Venue Bowers Mill, is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. Bowers Mill is surrounded by woodland, and a lake sits in front of the mill.

The restored space giving a nod to its original mill heritage. There are some wonderful original features that have been kept within The Venue, including the original mill floor in the Spinning Room, which overlooks the rooftops of Bowers Mill.

The underpinning theme for our big day is an Autumn Celebration and we are hoping that you will join in reflecting our favourite season.​

We would ask that guests arrive in formalwear in keeping with the nature of a wedding celebration.

We obviously want to be the centre of attention on the big day and so are asking please - no bright colours - neutrals, browns, greens, burnt oranges in keeping with that autumnal glow.

When you RSVP please ensure you let us know your menu selections and about any dietary requirements you may have. Dishes can be made Gluten or Dairy Free upon request and most vegetarian dishes can be made vegan upon request.

Having you with us on our special day is the best gift we could ask for.
We have already lived together for several years and have everything we could ever need.
Though, should you wish to help us keep the celebrations going, a monetary gift towards our honeymoon fund would be greatly appreciated.

1. When and where is the wedding?
All elements of the wedding will take place at The Venue, Bowers Mill, Branch Road. The ceremony will commence at 2pm with day guests advised to arrive no earlier than 1pm. Evening guests to arrive from 6:30pm.

2. How do I RSVP?
Please RSVP via the link within this website. The RSVP page requires further information such as dietary requirements etc. If you are a technophobe then contact us direct.

3. What is the dress code?
Formalwear to be worn for the ceremony and evening party. Our colour theme is autumnal and wish to ask guests not to wear bright colours.
​
4. Can I bring a plus-one or my child(ren)?
We are limited on guest numbers for both the full day and evening part of the wedding day. As such, we can only permit those named on the invitations to attend the day. Plus ones are not permitted.
​
We want our guests to enjoy the party spirit of a wedding celebration, and as such, this will be an adult only event with the only child permitted being Lincoln. Book a babysitter and let your hair down!

5. What dietary restrictions do you accommodate?
The wedding menu offers vegetarian option. Most dishes can be made Gluten Free, Dairy Free or Vegan. Please ensure you notify us of any specific dietary requirements when you RSVP.

6. Is there parking available?
Parking is available on-site. Vehicles can be left overnight at the owners risk. There is a further car park by the Aparthotel on site for those with rooms secured.
The phone signal is limited at The Venue, a dedicated taxi phone is available for guests to arrange transport home, we have included the days schedule should you wish to pre-book transport.

7. Will there be an open bar?
In short, no! Welcome drinks and beverages for the meal are included. There is a widely stocked bar at The Venue, with both cash and card being accepted.

8. What happens after the ceremony?
Please see The Schedule page for the layout of the day itself. Timings are a rough estimate and we appreciate your flexibility through the day. The bar will take last orders at 00:30hrs

9. Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Mike has employed several (hundred) photographers and videographer to capture our special day, so we would prefer to have no phones/cameras during the ceremony so that you can enjoy the moment.
We would also ask that we be the first to share any images of the wedding via social media.
We will provide details of a shared album where you can upload us the pictures/videos you take on the day.

10. Where should I stay?
We have booked several rooms at The Little Hobbit, Sowerby. Most rooms will be reserved for close family. Any remaining rooms will be advertised on the Accommodation page, as well as other nearby hotels / guest houses.

11. Do you have a wedding list?
We are lucky to already have everything we need. If however you wish to give us a gift we would kindly appreciate a donation towards our honeymoon fund.
